"Sunset Over Mellor"

The scene is of one of the many beautiful sunsets during the summer lockdown of 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. I certainly found myself discovering new local places to walk as the travel restriction was put in place.  
This view looking out over Cheshire from the tops of Mellor was one of my favourites.
My inspiration for painting this scene was seeing light when we were in a very dark place. And although the sun was going down, leaving us in darkness, we all know it would return the next day.
