'Buckstones Jump'

One of the most idyllic wild swimming spots in the Lake District. I was asked to do a commission for a gentleman in 2021 who's partner was a big fan of this pool. He supplied me with two reference photo's as I'd never been to this place before. This was the result. I loved capturing the rock textures in detail, the flowing water over the rocks below. The grass and reflections I got to know so well.
After the painting was completed, I took a trip up to see Buckstones Jump in the flesh, it was so surreal visiting a place for the first time, yet I knew it all so well, like I had spent weeks sitting on a rock, studying every detail. 
 
Images are supplied in size 12"x 16" and are high quality giclée printed,  professionally produced on matt ultra 220gsm premium paper, using archival inks to ensure quality of colour for many years.
